TITEBOND ROOF CEMENT SEALANT

Titebond Roof Cement Sealant is an all-weather, asphalt based patching compound specifically designed and formulated to repair cracks, seams, gaps and holes in roofing materials. This sealant is ideal for repair and new construction roofing applications. It is used to set flashings, drip edges and roofing material edges as well as the installation of shingles and roll roofing.

Application Guidelines


  • Application Temperature: Above 50°F (10°C)
  • Service Temperature Range: -40°F to 120°F (-40°C to 49°C)
  • Method of Application: Cartridge/caulking gun
  • Tooling Time: For a 1/4" bead, approximately 10-20 minutes
  • Application Directions: 1. Surfaces must be clean and free of any material that may prevent adequate adhesion. 2. Cut tip to desired bead width and shape and place in cartridge gun. 3. Apply generously as needed. It is the sole responsibility of the user to thoroughly test any proposed use with all substrates to determine project suitability.
  • Cleanup: Clean uncured material with xylene or equivalent solvent. After curing, excess sealant must be cut or scraped away. Follow solvent vendor's precautions when using solvents.

Limitations


Air, sealant and surface temperature should be above 50°F. Cure time is dependent upon ambient conditions including temperature and humidity. The sealant should be dry to the touch and ready to paint in 2 hours. Do not thin. DO NOT APPLY DIRECTLY TO HEAT/FLAMES. Do not apply to plastic, EPDM, Hypalon or similar type of synthetic rubber roof systems. For best results, store in a dry location at or below 75°F.
