Application Tips that help the user, of Franklin International adhesives and glues, properly apply the adhesive or glue to the appropriate surface. To find the application tip that applies to your use of a Titebond adhesive follow these steps:
Click on the "Application Tips" button of the left side bar. Select a category that describes the type of adhesive or glue to be used. The selected category and the list of application tips should appear at the top of the page.
MSDS Franklin International provides a Material Safety Data Sheet for all products. To find and print a MSDS follow the steps:
Click on the MSDS button of the left side bar. Select a product and size next to a glue or adhesive category. Press the "GO" button. The MSDS will appear on the screen. Now you have the opportunity to print the MSDS using the browser's print option.
PDF PDF is a type of format that is used for the product pages. This format works best if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.0. These types of documents can be found in the Products Category or in the Literature PDF List of the Customer Service area. To view or print the PDF documents you need to be in the Products or the Customer Service areas of the web site. The steps below will help you get the best results of the PDF type of Product documents.
Click the "Products" button on the left side of the web page. Click on a category or a specific product located on the product page. The page that follows is available in the PDF format. You can tell by the fact that the page offers the option to "Download PDF" and "Get Acrobat Reader". If you click the "Download PDF" button and DO NOT have a version of Acrobat Reader on your computer, you will receive a browser message box. This box will ask you what you want to do with this file. If you close this box you then can download Acrobat Reader 4.0 by clicking on the "Get Acrobat Reader" button provided on the page with the download button. If you click on the "Download PDF" and HAVE a version of Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, you will be presented a printable copy of the Product page you are on. To print this page you then use the browser print options.

Click the "Literature PDF List" button. This page has categories with a list of Literature and/or PDF documents available for you to view or print. If you select a PDF document and DO NOT have a version of Acrobat Reader on your computer, you will receive a browser message box. This box will ask you what you want to do with this file. If you close this box you then can download Acrobat Reader 4.0 by clicking on the "Get Acrobat Reader" button provided on the Literature PDF List page. Product Selector: Allows you to determine the best Titebond glue or adhesive for your project.
Select a category. Select the characteristic you most want from a glue or adhesive. Then click on "Find the Best Product". A list of products will appear with the most recommended product listed first. Each listed product will also list the desired characteristic(s). Search Knowledge Base Search For: either select a product and search for information pertaining to your chosen product or select all products in general.
I want to search by: Keyword Search: select a word which best describes what you are looking for. Specific article ID number: searches for a Knowledge Base article by its unique ID (e.g., "10001"). Asking a question using a free-text query: Allows the entry of a query in plain English without keyword or Boolean expressions.
For articles published within the last (10, 20, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180, 210, 240, 270, 300, 330, 360, All Inquiries) days: Defines the range of recent documents to be returned which match the query text.
Keyword/Question: Enter the terms which best describes your need. The default operation is documents that contain ALL of the query terms.
Search Options: Allows specification of what is searched and returned. Search against Full text for most queries; search against Title only when the search should be restricted only to titles of documents.
I want the search results to show: Used to determine how much detail should appear in the results list.
Search Examples Search for: All products Example: Select Keywords from "I want to Search against:". Select 30 days from "For articles published with in the last:". Type glue into the "keyword/question" box. Select Full Text from "I want to Search Against". Select Titles with excerpts from "I want the search results to show:". Results: All articles with the word glue in the text. List will include article ID number, Title, Date, and text excerpt.
Search for: Titebond Glue Example: Select Asking a question using a free-text query from "I want to Search against:". Select 60 days from "For articles published with in the last:". Type Do you have school glue? into the "keyword/question" box. Select Full Text from "I want to Search Against". Select Titles Only from "I want the search results to show:". Results: All articles with the words school glue in the title. List will include article ID number, Title, and Date.
Search for: Titebond Glue Example: Select specific article ID number from "I want to Search against:". Select 90 days from "For articles published within the last:". Type 100001 into the "keyword/question" box. Select Title from "I want to Search Against". Select Titles Only from "I want the search results to show:". Results: All articles with the article ID number in the title. List will include article ID number, Title, and Date.
Search for: Titebond II glue Example: Select asking a question using a free-text query from "I want to Search against:". Select 120 days from "For articles published with in the last:". Type What is Titebond II glue? into the "keyword/question" box. Select Full text from "I want to Search Against". Select Titles with excerpts from "I want the search results to show:". Results: All articles with the Titebond II glue in the full text of the articles. List will include article ID number, Title, Date, and excerpt.
Search Keyword: select a word that best describes what you are looking for. If you want to use two words which are not related you can put a coma between them. Click the "Search" button. The search engine will have looked up your word in the default settings of Exact Phrase and all categories. The results of your search will appear below the search box.
"New Search" button: When selected the "Search for:" box is cleared and default selections are placed. You may now choose another Keyword and choose to change the default settings.
Using: You may select either "Exact Phrase", "All Words", or "Any Word". Exact Phrase Searches for documents that contain the words exactly as they occur in the query. Use this when the phrase you're searching for is in all the documents you're looking for. All Words ranks documents containing all words in the query the highest. Use this when all terms should be present in the documents you're looking for. Any Word ranks documents containing the most unique words, and the most occurrences. Use this more general approach when it's important to find any term in your query.
Categories: The check box categories of Products, Application Tips, FAQ's, What's New and Spotlight are all checked in the default. The default allows the browser to search documents in every category. If you choose to search only some of these areas then check the categories you desire to search. Search Examples Search for: Adhesives Example: Select All words from the "Using" box. Check "FAQs" box. Results: Selects all questions and answers within "FAQs" section of the web page that contains the word adhesives.
Search for: Titebond Adhesives Example: Select Exact words from the "Using" box. Check "What's New" box. Results: Selects all articles within the "What's New" section of the web page which contains the words titebond and adhesives.
Search for: Titebond, Adhesives Example:Select All words from the "Using" box. Check "Products" box. Results:Selects all articles within the "Products" section of the web page that contains the words titebond or adhesives.
